I worked with Lagoni Mortgage to do a reverse mortgage. I am divorced with no children of my own,no one to inherit the home that I have lived in all my life and no intentions of moving or selling. Needed some extra money to remodel an apartment that I rent over my garage,credit cards to pay off etc. So after careful consideration I decided the reverse mortgage could be a good source of extra money. When I would tell people about my plans,many worried it was a bad decision, but it has helped me immensely and I have used it twice so far with no problems. You have to take a course to learn about the process and requirements so that you have complete understanding. I just want more people to know it is not deceptive or difficult.
